Vriend van Bavink proudly presents the third solo exhibition by Aldo van den Broek at the gallery: Kiss. Ride. Repeat.

In this exhibition, van den Broek revisits themes first explored in his 2018 collaboration with artist and close friend André van Noord (1964 - 2018)—an encounter shaped by connection, loss, and the emotional weight of departure.

 Van den Broek’s work carries a strong personal and emotional charge while addressing universal cycles. His paintings reflect on decay and renewal, transformation and repetition. Using discarded materials such as cardboard, wood, metal, and fabric, he builds textured, layered surfaces that retain the marks of time and previous use. His method of scraping back and rebuilding mirrors a process of collapse and regeneration. Each surface bears traces of what came before, suggesting the fragility and resilience of identity itself.
